Parent Involvement
Our school has an "Open Door Policy", and we urge parents to visit their child's classroom at any time. Parent visits during school hours are welcomed and encouraged. There are many opportunities during the year for parent help in projects and field trips. Parents are encouraged to communicate with teachers in 2 ways, through notes in the daily folders or in person through scheduled meetings.

Parents receive monthly newsletters with information including our activities, field trips and announcements. They will be notified of their child's development at school through our bi-annual progress reports as well. Our children have an annual folder with documentation of his/her progress throughout the year such as artwork samples and photographs. Developmental assessment of children’s progress and achievement is used to plan curriculum, identify those children with special needs, communicate with parents and evaluate the program's effectiveness. When a child is enrolled in our school, an assessment folder is immediately prepared. Although we send most of a child's work home on a daily basis, we also keep many of their projects and artwork in their folders. The annual folder allows parents to see the developmental growth of their child at various stages. We will also conduct parent seminars, which will be free unless we need to pass on the presenter's fee.
Eden's Garden is an international school where children come from diverse backgrounds that we wish to incorporate into their learning process. We will periodically ask parents to come in and model costumes from their countries, discuss and enact customs, and bring in relevant pictures and objects. The children will learn that our differences are as precious as our similarities.
