8:30 Arrival

Garden Time – Focus on gross motor development, social development and imagination.

Dance Room – Focus on rhythm, movement and social development

Small&Big Group Activity Room:

13.30 Yoga / Gymnastics / Dance– To maintain and increase flexibility and to strengthen our bodies

14.00 Art techniques – Learning about different art techniques and expressing thoughts and feelings through art: Finger Painting ; Utensil Painting (Spray Bottle, Sponge, Brush, Toys) ; Water Colour Painting; Chalk Painting; Stencil Art; Marble Art; Action Painting

9:30 Breakfast

– Feeling a sense of community while eating together. Students also work on manners, social skills, and practice good nutritional habits.

14:30 Reading and Story Telling

–Listening  to a book, poem or text read by the teacher and with discussion

- This includes story reading, story completion, story creation and working with story cards or maps with a focus on language skills.

10:00 Circle Time

- Welcome, learning  songs, sharing stories and the plans of the day

-Show-and-tell activities

-Weather and Calendar studies

- Focus on language development

14:50 Math

- Learning about basic math concepts by using toys, games or worksheets

-Whole-group lessons or individual practice

10:20 Writing and Fine Motor Skills development

- Writing or Fine Motor exercises

- Individual worksheets or small-group tasks

- Focus on the alphabetic knowledge in sound and writing / literacy skills.

15:10 Phonics

-Learning about phonetic rules and practicing of phonic skills to figure out how to read unknown words

-Group work activity to figure out words and to understand short texts or poems

10:40 Content Area Studies & Teacher-directed activity

– Science, social studies or geography

- Art activity that is connected to the daily topic with focus on the understanding  of the topic and the fine motor development.

15:30 Afternoon Snack

–Students work on manners, social skills, and practice good nutritional habits.

11:10 Free play activity / Play Centres

– While playing in centres, we follow our individual interests with a focus on the social development by learning how to share, how to wait our turns and how to play together.
